He was ordained a priest in 1989 for the Diocese of Kilmore and has served as Auxiliary Bishop of Armagh since 2019. Francis Was "Commited to Gospel" In April 2025, Bishop Router wrote a warm statement on Francis's death. He described the late pope as a spiritual and inspirational leader who guided the faithful over twelve years with humility, compassion, and commitment to the Gospel. He also said Francis embodied simplicity and service from his earliest days as priest and bishop. Demanding Irish Houses for Immigrants On [Muslim] immigrants, in a January 2020 statement, Bishop Router urged Ireland, as the country of "a thousand welcomes," to consider with compassion its responsibility to welcome the stranger. The Irish should meet the housing needs of immigrants, he demanded. Praise For and From the Wrong Faction In January 2025, the US Episcopal woman bishop Marianne Edgar Budde attacked Donald …Mususu
The Humble Alone Truly Know God The gospel reading emphasizes the importance of childlike simplicity and humility in understanding God’s will. Like the saints, we should recognize that our gifts and talents come from God and use them for His glory, not our own. By seeking God’s will and becoming pure of heart, we can open ourselves to His revelation and ultimately know Him and the Father. Fr. The “methodology” of the consistories under Leo XIV risks undermining open debate, Cardinal Raymond Burke told Edward Pentin on CardinalNews.substack.com (July 15) [as if the problem were not the content and personnel policy]. Cardinal Burke said dissent in the small groups is excluded because the reports reflect only “what every cardinal agreed upon,” meaning significant minority views may be omitted. Overall, he described the consistory as a “very controlled” process, with pre-selected discussion leaders and limited opportunities for free intervention. “Synodality Has to Be Stopped” Turning to the growing use of “synodality” in the Church, Cardinal Burke questioned its theological and historical basis: “There is no definition of synodality, there’s no history of it in the Church.” His concern is the merging of established structures, such as consistories, with this undefined concept, “We have to insist that this whole synodality business stop.” He argued, without laughing, that synodality …Mususu
Trudeau Appears in Katy Perry’s Video Watch It Burn: Katy Perry’s new Watch It Burn promo briefly features former Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau in the background. The music video includes scenes inside a church, with Perry shown sitting in a church pew. The imagery, combined with the lyric 'watch it burn', is reminiscent of the wave of church arsons in Canada during Trudeau's time in office. Since 2021, more than 120 churches have been damaged by arson or vandalism.
Former Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau appeared in the background of a promotional video for girlfriend Katy Perry’s latest music video titled “Watch It Burn” that has led to speculation of a connection to churches burning down in Canada over the past five years.
"It would be unfair to ask God to help me and not the other team": At a press conference on 13 July, Spain's football coach, Luis de la Fuente, said that he prays every day. He doesn't ask for victory, but thanks God for life, good health and the strength to persevere. Ahead of Spain's World Cup semi-final against France, he said that it would be unfair to ask God to help his team and not their opponents. Spain went on to defeat France 2–0 and advance to the World Cup final.
Before Spain’s 2–0 victory against France, the head coach spoke openly about his deep faith “It would be unfair to ask God to help me and not the other team”
Leo XIV Appoints Indian Bishop Practicing Indigenous Adivasi Rites: Today, Pope Leo XIV has appointed the indigenious Bishop Albert Hemrom, 57, as Coadjutor Archbishop of the Archdiocese of Guwahati, India. This video was taken in October 2023 when he celebrated the silver jubilee of St John Vianney Church in Uriamghat, Assam. Monsignor Hemrom participated in the Aarti ceremony with the Adivasi community. Women held ceremonial brass platters (thali). Incense was waved before the bishop to purify him and invoke blessings. Then, a red tilak blessing mark was placed on his forehead. Finally, he was presented with a traditional Assamese gamosa, a handwoven white-and-red ceremonial scarf, which was draped around his neck.

Barnhardt Blog: There were FOUR Canonists jumping up and down declaring that the whole “Pope emeritus” thing was an ontological impossibility, and that only resigning the ministry of the active governance of the Church and not the Office (munus) was invalid in toto. Those Canonists were: —Manuel Jesus Arroba, a professor of canon law at the Pontifical Lateran University, who raised the alarm only TWO DAYS after Pope Benedict’s announcement. —Former rector of the Pontifical Gregorian University, the Jesuit Gianfranco Ghirlanda, published a lengthy article on March 2, ARSH 2013 refuting the possibility of a “Pope emeritus”. —Valerio Gigliotti, a professor of the history of European law at the University of Torino. —Fr. Stefano Violi, a professor of law at the theological faculty of Emilia Romagna. Citation HERE from Sandro Magister’s blog in September of ARSH 2014. France Adopts Assisted Dying Law: Today, France's National Assembly voted 291–241 to adopt legislation legalizing assisted dying. While individual healthcare professionals may refuse to participate, Catholic hospitals and care homes are denied an institutional conscience clause.

During a recent Alpine Mass celebrated in the woods before a cheerful gathering of elderly people, Bishop Derio Olivero, 65, of Pinerolo, Italy, said that there is one part of the Mass "that no longer works", the Penitential Act, reports MessaInLatino.it on 14 July. The blog notes that during Mass, the bishop wore his characteristic episcopal bandana as headgear. Monsignor Olivero is a pro-homosexual activist. During the Alpine Mass, he said sentimentally, "The Mass is a slow act of love. The acts of love are not done in a hurry; caresses given in haste become slaps. So, if you're willing, let's do something: look into each other's eyes for a moment. Look at the person beside you and think: 'This is my brother; this is my sister.'" #newsUaxcxarjhf
"The [female] Undersecretary of the Synod of Bishops has urged members of Pastoral Animation Teams (EAPs) in Mauritius to embrace synodality as a lived experience rather than a theoretical concept, saying the Church learns to journey together through prayer, listening, and shared mission."
"It is obviously possible to be fully Catholic while living the sacramental life according to the books of 1962. It is absolutely unacceptable to affirm the contrary", Cardinal Raymond Leo Burke told the organisers of the Chartres pilgrimage ‘Notre-Dame de Chrétienté’ in a July 14 YouTube.com video. And: "The liturgy according to the usus antiquior of the Roman Rite is an inestimable treasure of the Church which must be preserved and cherished because it is intimately linked to the very identity of the Roman Catholic Church." Cardinal Burke argued that the Roman rite has proven to be a powerful instrument of evangelization: “It is evident that this liturgy is missionary," he said. "This is seen by its fruits today as in centuries past, because it attracts through its sense of the sacred and transcendence." He added that this is "particularly evident with the younger generation," which he said has "a profound hunger for the spiritual in an increasingly horizontal world." Vatican II …Mususu
Cardinal Burke: “If the Conciliar Fathers, as they did after the Mass of October 24, 1967 during the Synod of Bishops, had had to vote on the project of the 1969 Missal (New Mass), it is by no means certain that a majority would have voted in favor”
He speaks with forked tongue. Because it's not just about the Liturgy. It's also about VCII and the gross apostasy and heresies running rampant throughout the Church; and the abandonment of the Deposit of Faith by her leadership.
Today, Cardinal Robert Sarah delivered an address at the European Parliament in Brussels. He noted that the European Union uses development aid and international agreements to export abortion and gender ideology to African nations. He spoke of "ideological colonization", arguing that modern Europe increasingly seeks to influence African legislation through trade agreements, development assistance, and diplomatic pressure. Words Have a Meaning Opening his address, Sarah questioned whether Europe and Africa still share a common understanding of the language that dominates international diplomacy. "Can we still understand each other? Do the words we use - human rights, dignity, development, freedom, health, gender, family - still mean the same thing to those who pronounce them in Brussels, Strasbourg, Kampala, or Conakry?" Inconsistency Is Deliberate One of his examples is the expression “sexual and reproductive health” that often means abortion. Another example is the term “gender equality …Mususu
Reports stated that Luni had collided with another vessel several days prior to the sinking. Local officials believe the damage suffered by her hull from that earlier incident ultimately caused her to take on water and break apart. Local media reports stated that the incident occurred at around the same time that explosions were heard around Bandar Abbas and nearby Qeshm Island. However, it has not yet been determined whether these were connected to the sinking. Planes colliding, ships colliding. Who needs to bomb? They do a great job on their own.
Last weekend, Archbishop Luc Terlinden of Mechelen-Brussels, Belgium, attended the General Synod of the Anglican Church of England in York. He was there to find out more about how synodality is practised there. "It functions like a parliament. That fits with the long English tradition. There is a chair and a secretary. Sitting beside them is a lawyer wearing one of those traditional wigs", he told Nd.nl on 15 July. "We are asking ourselves how synodality - the participation of all the faithful - relates to the collegiality of the bishops. As a bishop, I am convinced that a balance must be found between these two realities." Bishop Terlinden added that the bishop or the Pope always has the final say, which makes sense to him: "At the same time, I very much identify with the words that Pope Leo XIV recently addressed to the cardinals: 'I must listen before I lead and learn before I teach.'"
