A 102-meter cross, set to become the world's second-highest, is being built in Brazil.
In Cruz Alta, a city of about 60,000 in Rio Grande do Sul, construction began in September. Plans include the cross, a cable car and a theme park.
The project is expected to cost around R$30 million (roughly €5 million), largely from public funds allocated through parliamentary amendments.
Only the 152-meter cross at Spain's Valley of the Fallen would be taller.

Without Christ, this is just a cross; with Christ it is a crucifix.
01:34The Baptism of Church Bells - Why Demons Fear Them
May God reward you for this new information that I learned today.
00:17In Canada, Abdul Aziz Kawam, an Islamic scum born in Saudi Arabia, asked a Canadian on the street if he was Muslim.
When the Canadian replied no, Kawam stabbed him, after invoking Allah.
Kawam then got on a bus and tried to slit the throat of another Canadian.
Kawam told the police that he had done it "in the name of the Islamic State" to which he had pledged allegiance.
His two victims survived.
Kawam was convicted of attempted murder in connection with a terrorist organization.
This is what the traitors who lead us force us to accept in the name of a humanism that they systematically exclude their own people from.
Why?
Why are these barbarians allowed in Christian countries? it is because the countries are no longer Christian.
