Bishop Morerod: FSSPX Treated "Ecumenical", Like a Non-Catholic Community

Bishop Charles Morerod of the Diocese of Lausanne, Geneva and Fribourg, Switzerland, said he no longer sees how a request to use a diocesan church for an FSSPX event could be granted today.
He was asked about October 5, 2019, when the Priestly Fraternity of Saint Pius X celebrated its 50th anniversary at St. Maurice Church in Fribourg. Archbishop Marcel Lefebvre opened its first house of formation for seminarians in Fribourg in October 1969 before moving the seminary to Ecône in 1970.
Speaking to Cath.ch on July 12, Bishop Morerod explained that his 2019 decision reflected a different moment in the relationship between the Priestly Fraternity and Rome: "When I approved the use of a diocesan church back then, it was done in a spirit of goodwill, at a time when a rapprochement between the FSSPX and Rome was still possible."
He added that the FSSPX has "no intention whatsoever of entering into any process of reconciliation."
Bishop Morerod said future dialogue would be on different terms:…More

Wrong Obedience and loyalty in the Church is leading many souls to slaughtery and to eternal damnation.

1) If Church authorities proclaim doctrines that are sinful and CLEARLY contrary to the will of the Holy Spirit as expressed in the Holy Scriptures, they do not speak in the name of God. There is no iniquity in God, and God is not the author of iniquity. All iniquity will be uprooted.
a) Ecclesiasticus (Sirach) 15:20: “He never commanded anyone to be ungodly, nor did He give anyone permission to sin.”
b) Matthew 15:13; Jesus answered, “Every plant which My heavenly Father didn’t plant will be uprooted".
c) It is public knowledge that, on many occasions, church authorities by demanding obedience and loyalty from those under their care made them victims of the sin of the flesh.
2) Divine law takes precedence over human law whenever the two come into direct conflict.
a) Exodus 1:15-17; The Pharaoh of Egypt gave orders to the Hebrew midwives one of whom was named Shiphrah and the other Puah saying to them, “When you assist the Hebrew women in childbirth, look closely at the two stones: if …More

The Certainty of the Chastisement Announced by Our Lady at Fatima

Lecture on April 3, 1970 (*) - Plinio Corrêa de Oliveira
Something that history records and which the theology of history indicates as certain, is that the great disasters that fall upon peoples are punishments.
This is a certain principle of the theology of history. When a nation suffers a major catastrophe, it is a punishment. This does not apply to men or to particular individuals but for nations, social groups etc.
Now then, history tells us that major catastrophes take a long time hanging upon those punished. That is the general rule of major disasters. Cataclysms, all the way from the Flood through the fall of Jerusalem, those of the Western and Eastern Empires, Protestantism, the French Revolution, the Russian Communist Revolution etc. always are long suspended over a people without anyone understanding why they do not just break out, but they finally do.
There is more. In general, the longer the suspense lasts, the more terrifying the punishment is. So from this delay it does …More

Canon Law or Church History? The SSPX Schism

Written by Pete Vere
Concerning the July 1 Society of St Pius X (SSPX) episcopal consecrations and the Dicastery for the Doctrine of the Faith’s (DDF) decree declaring excommunication, many have reached out to me as a retired canonist and Catholic apologist — one who once specialized in the SSPX’s 1988 consecrations and excommunication. Sifting through contradictory and often confusing commentary of clergy, canonists, and Catholic apologists, I sympathize with fellow Catholics struggling to wrap their heads around what has taken place.
Speaking candidly, I too am struggling to understand the sudden breakdown of relations between Rome and Écône. It seems quite sudden following Pope Francis’s death. What I did not imagine was finding clarity through Wayne Gretzky. Yes, Canada’s retired hockey legend.
Appealing to a professional athlete to resolve ecclesiastical schism feels sacrilegious, if not sardonic. Ironic in that the consecrations took place Canada Day (July 1st) and I am the only …More

Although the SSPX does not possess ordinary territorial jurisdiction recognized by the Holy See, its bishops typically carry the crosier with the crook facing forward, a posture historically linked to jurisdictional authority. According to the traditional ceremonial, bishops lacking ordinary jurisdiction in the place where they officiate should carry the crosier with the crook turned toward themselves, not facing forward.

Detransitioning with De Maistre

Frank Wright
July 13, 2026
How to recover from the lies of the Revolution
Joseph De Maistre (2026, Colourised)
To restore our civilisation we must recognise that for a century the minds of our people have been captured and directed by a constantly refined political technique designed to do just that.
If we are to do better than the virtues of vice and the political economy of national suicide, we must learn to think outside the pseudo reality framed by the mass manufacture of meaning.
This is the reason I am writing today about Joseph de Maistre, whose transformation from revolutionary believer to the most devastating critic of the religion of Man provides an outstanding example to us all of how to detransition from the political religion of evil.
This should take you eight minutes to read.
