It seems that the Cardinal has not taken the long view of the situation. The fact that the Synodal process mutes dissenting voices is exactly what it was designed to do. The fact that Tradiciones Custodes pushes away youth and those looking for a church rather than an NGO, is specifically what it was meant to do. Leo XIV Appoints Indian Bishop Practicing Indigenous Adivasi Rites: Today, Pope Leo XIV has appointed the indigenious Bishop Albert Hemrom, 57, as Coadjutor Archbishop of the Archdiocese of Guwahati, India. This video was taken in October 2023 when he celebrated the silver jubilee of St John Vianney Church in Uriamghat, Assam. Monsignor Hemrom participated in the Aarti ceremony with the Adivasi community. Women held ceremonial brass platters (thali). Incense was waved before the bishop to purify him and invoke blessings.
