Worse than Germany: Catholic University in Canada Displays Homosexual Features. On the campus of the University of Toronto's St. Michael's College, also known as the Catholic University, homosexual symbols are displayed. These include a large banner and a rainbow crosswalk on St. Joseph Street. In a letter dated 2024, the president and vice-chancellor of St. Michael’s College wrote to a Toronto councilor that the student union had requested the rainbow crosswalk and that the administration supported the proposal. St. Michael’s College was founded in 1852 by the Congregation of St. Basil.
St. Michael's College at the University of Toronto has gone totally pride. From flying the pride flag to rainbow sidewalks to the Drag Show. "Display your pride." It's all about pride in pride. In 2024, in a letter to a Toronto city councillor the St. Michael's President David G. Sylvester writes: The St. Michael’s College Student Union (SMCSU) has requested that a Pride crosswalk with rainbow colours be painted between the John M. Kelly Library and Elmsley Place on St. Joseph Street. The University of St. Michael’s College administration and I enthusiastically support this proposal and commit to the costs associated with the project, as outlined to us, on the University’s behalf. St. Michael’s is a place that welcomes and celebrates the infinite God-given dignity of those who identify as part of the 2SLGBTQIA+ community. From its Inclusiveness Policy, to its Strategic Plan, to the installation of the Progress Pride Flag on the John M. Kelly Library last summer, St. Michael’s …
Worse than Germany: Argentine Priest Celebrates World Cup at Eucharist: On June 15, parish priest Carlos Costale of Río Cuarto, Argentina, posted a video showing World Cup fan props used during an Eucharist celebration. One of the props was a paper bus labeled “La Scaloneta,” the popular nickname for Argentina’s national football team under Lionel Scaloni. The parish priest is already known for his theatrical liturgical experiments, including mixing a fruit salad during a Pentecost Eucharist.
The encyclical Magnifica Humanitas is internally inconsistent in its treatment of just war theory. That writes Manfred Spieker, emeritus professor of Christian Social Sciences, on Herder.de on June 16. While he generally praises Leo XIV’s reflections on artificial intelligence, he challenges the encyclical’s call to “overcome” the traditional doctrine of just war. Magnifica Humanitas, drawing on Fratelli Tutti, offers two reasons for moving beyond just war theory: first, that nearly every war in recent decades has been presented as justified, and second, that modern weapons make war an unacceptable solution. Spieker finds neither argument convincing. Regarding the first, he writes: “If everyone who wages a war appeals to this doctrine, it remains necessary to examine who is justified in doing so and who is not.” He adds: “Those who falsely invoke this doctrine will face criticism or rejection. But that does not make the doctrine of just war obsolete.” Nor do modern weapons invalidate …Zêde

Consistory Run Like the Synod: Only two hours are reserved for open interventions during the Consistory on 26–27 June. The majority of the meeting is structured around small-group discussions. The cardinals are divided into 20 groups, each of which prepares a written report. Only nine groups are scheduled to present their reports in the plenary session. Discussion of the Just War doctrine was anticipated based on earlier Vatican communications, but it is absent from the final agenda. Cardinals can communicate directly with Leo XIV via an email address provided for this purpose.
World Cup Viewing Inside a Madrid Church: The church of San Antón in Madrid has started showing Spain’s World Cup matches inside the church, with TV screens set up among the pews so that visitors and parishioners can watch the games. This initiative was promoted by Rev. Ángel García. He said that the broadcasts will continue for as long as Spain remains in the tournament.
La iglesia de San Antón, en Madrid, se ha convertido en una sala de televisión para seguir el Mundial. Impulsada por el Padre Ángel, la iniciativa retransmite los partidos de España dentro del templo y continuará mientras la selección siga en el torneo.
“At ninety-three years of age, I don’t have enough time to clear my name of every vile falsehood that has been hurled against me in the public square. Yet I will always have time to defend the honour of the Church founded by Jesus Christ and her Sacraments, and I shall do so until the end of my life.” Just weeks before marking the 70th anniversary of his priestly ordination on July 8, a Portuguese Priest finds himself once again defending his reputation against false sexual abuse allegations that were archived by the Dicastery for the Doctrine of the Faith in 2023. After years of public accusations, restrictions on his ministry, relentless media vilification, and refusal to defend him by the Archdiocese of Braga, the priest has issued a public Right of Reply and announced legal action for defamation against the accusers. The case has gained renewed urgency as Grupo Vita (created by the Portuguese Episcopal Conference to respond to abuse allegations) prepares to meet Vatican officials …Zêde
End of an Era: Jesuits Withdraw from Murcia: The Society of Jesus has closed its last remaining community in Murcia, Spain, ending its resident presence in the Diocese of Cartagena. Jesuit Provincial Fr. Enric Puiggròs said the closure is part of a "restructuring" driven by a lack of vocations and the aging of the order's members. The Jesuits' presence in Murcia goes back to the 16th century, shortly after the founding of the Society of Jesus in 1540.
The last Jesuits of the Region bid farewell as they close their Santo Domingo community in Murcia due to 'the scarce vocations and our unavoidable aging'
University Hospital of Wales – Google Maps Warning: The story contains graphic words. Reader discretion is advised. Forests of trees have been felled in the effort to explain the collapse of trust in the fifth estate; commissions have been created, panels hosted, and teeth gnashed. Trust in the press is in freefall, and this is a disaster — just ask the press. If I were to give a PowerPoint presentation on the collapse in media credibility, I would begin by showing a screenshot of the latest headline-photo pairing currently making the rounds in the UK. The photo is of a middle-aged, hook-nosed man with graying hair and a five o’clock shadow — the sort of image you’d conjure in your mind if someone asked you to imagine a homeless man. The headline, this one in the Express: “Transgender woman jailed for performing sex act in front of horrified nurses.” OK, you think. But perhaps the lede paragraph will rectify this obvious mismatch. Oh, you sweet summer child. Here it is: “A …
A former teacher and his homosexual partner, a financial sales manager, have been convicted at Preston Crown Court, Lancashire, of murdering and sexually abusing a toddler they were in the process of adopting. Jamie Varley, 37, was found guilty of murder, two counts of assault by penetration, multiple counts of child cruelty, grievous bodily harm, and offences involving indecent images. John McGowan-Fazakerley, 32, was convicted of causing or allowing the death of a child, child cruelty, and sexual assault. The victim was born on June 16, 2022, at Wythenshawe Hospital in Greater Manchester. Five days later, social services placed him with foster carers under an emergency order. His mother had a long criminal record, including a murder conviction in 1998. Varley and McGowan-Fazakerley were approved as prospective adopters in January 2023, and the boy moved into their home in April 2023. Prosecutors said the child was subjected to sustained abuse almost immediately after his placement. …Zêde
Leo XIV Against Remigration of Migrants: Asked about “remigration” of immigrants, Pope Leo XIV replied on Tuesday in Castel Gandolfo: “Simply saying, ‘We send them away, and then the problem is off our hands,’ does not seem to me to be the most Christian response.” He said migrants should be respected as persons, their reasons for leaving considered, and their cases examined individually.
Sulla questione remigrazione, esorta a trattare “con rispetto ogni persona”: “Dire mandiamo via, così ci laviamo le mani, non mi sembra una risposta cristiana”.
Blind leading the Blind no wonder sex abuse crisis will never be resolved or see justice . Homo mafia lives in a fairy land these people are tied up in there ideologies not in the reality of the human condition (St John the Baptist pray for us) Immigration just another topic to be manipulated and collect money so they can live the homo life style off the backs of Catholics
ScoopWhoop A report by Reform UK MP Rupert Lowe estimates up to 250,000 girls may have been targeted by organised grooming gangs across England over several decades. Offenders in several high-profile cases were predominantly Pakistani Muslim men. The abuse, documented in towns like Rotherham, Rochdale, and Telford, involved vulnerable girls aged 10 to 19 being groomed with gifts, alcohol, and false affection before being subjected to rape, trafficking, and violence. Baroness Casey's 2025 audit confirmed serious institutional failure, finding authorities repeatedly failed victims while some officials suppressed ethnicity data out of fear of being accused of racism. PM Keir Starmer has since announced a full national statutory inquiry, with the NCA reviewing over 1,200 previously closed cases. facebook.com/photo/?fbid=1511211537706087&set=a.6…
