Cardinal Parolin Speaks of Possible Canonical Penalties for German Bishops

It is premature to foresee an intervention by the Holy See regarding the German bishops on the blessings for homosexuals. Cardinal Pietro Parolin said this at the Augustinianum to present the book “Robert Francis Prevost. Free Under Grace”, as reported by VaticanNews.va on May 6.
At this moment, Cardinal Parolin said, there is “dialogue”: “Let us see what happens.”
He reiterated that the decision belongs to the Pope.
“But in any case," he continued, “we have already for some time begun a dialogue, each expressing our own views.”
Cardinal Parolin hopes that sanctions will not be necessary and that problems may be resolved peacefully, as should be the case in the Church.

Leo XIV's Homosexual Designer: "Story of Acceptance"

On 27 April, Leo XIV’s liturgical vestment designer, Filippo Sorcinelli, spoke to DailyMail.co.uk about the papal liturgical wardrobe.
Sorcinelli is a homosexual who uses imagery of sadomasochism in his work as a perfumer. He works with the Vatican's liturgical office to design vestments, not directly with Leo XIV.
He said that the Pope does not stage spectacles: "Each visual choice contributes to building a language of reliability, balance and quiet authority."
The means of communication are fabrics, colours and shapes. "Every detail is designed to support the Pope’s role, not draw attention away from it."
Leo XIV has leaned into classic papal tailoring, reinstating details such as cufflinks and structured vestments that emphasise form and precision.
Sorcinelli has never perceived a conflict between his faith and his vice: "I have never viewed faith and homosexuality as adversaries, but rather as a creative tension that fuels my work."
He added that his experience within the Church …More

WHITE SMOKE 1958 -18- WE DON'T KNOW

Second uncertainty:
Since we do not know what happens in a conclave, which is perfectly normal, we also do not know why Pius XII's successor, after being elected, accepting the position and taking a name, suddenly renounced it shortly afterwards. We should not give credence to all the more or less far-fetched hypotheses of those who claim to know what happened, because no one from the conclave has spoken.
The only thing that is certain is that the elected candidate accepted and then renounced: the rest is superfluous.

Bishop Strickland responding to Synod Group 9's report

The destruction of doctrine under the language of “discernment,” “listening,” & “lived experience” is one of the gravest spiritual dangers of our time. Truth is not determined by experience. Truth is revealed by God An Emergency in the Church - Pillars of Faith

New report suggests the Synod still cannot speak clearly on homosexuality

Platforming active dissent from Church teaching on homosexuality while also giving a hat-tip to that same teaching, the latest advisory document from the synod is a textbook case in the style of the entire affair.
On May 5, the
final report of Study Group 9 of the Synod on Synodality was published. Led by Peruvian Cardinal Carlos Gustavo Castillo Mattasoglio, the group is one of 10 established at the direct command of Pope Francis.
It is the latest study group report to emerge from the synod and it demonstrates why so many notable prelates raised concerns about the event, given that it makes a token nod to Church teaching on homosexuality while simultaneously undermining it somewhat by the nature of the views the report platforms and promotes.

What Leo Did Not See or Say in Africa by Atila Sinke Guimaraes

Bird’s Eye View of the News
WHAT LEO DID NOT SEE & SAY IN AFRICA – Some few considerations follow regarding the trip that Pope Leo XIV recently made to Africa.
Mentor forming Telemachus

If someone were to publicly spread the idea that the government of nations should be handed over to high schoolers, he would be considered crazy or put in jail. The reason is obvious: Teenagers are still in an early learning stage of life and need to reach maturity of judgment before they are able to govern themselves and others. A nation governed by teenagers would be doomed to failure.
For an analogous reason, in civilized nations the legal decisions made by minors are not accountable before the law. It is the father or guardian of a minor who is responsible for his conduct.
Habitually the law of nations considers that the age of majority – when a youth can be held responsible for himself – is 18 years old. Before this age the youth should be learning from others how to think …

When the real population bomb goes off, then they'll understand. The future Church will look back at this with horror.

People, especially women, tend to lose sight of the original purpose of sexual intercourse—procreation—because of the pleasure it brings.
If they do not use contraception, life continues to follow the natural order.
The choice (to keep the baby or not) is an artificial and anti-life decision, and many people bear the consequences of this choice for the rest of their lives.

Knock and the Door Will Open: The Long Road to Bangkok Thailand - Catholic League

Fr. Gordon J. MacRae
(This story originally appeared on Beyond These Stone Walls)
I wrote a post recently entitled “Book of Tobit: The Angel Raphael on the Road with Pornchai Moontri.” It was an allegory, like the Book of Tobit itself. An allegory is a sort of genre of Sacred Scripture in which a story is told more for its meaning than for its historical value. Every parable of Jesus falls into this same genre. A part of the story of Tobit, and his son Tobias and their interactions with the Archangel Raphael in disguise were all part of the allegory. That does not mean the allegory did not happen. It means only that the truth of the story does not depend upon someone believing it. There was one aspect of the Book of Tobit story that became a centerpiece of my blog linked above. At the beginning and the end of the Book of Tobit there is a mysterious dog whose presence, meaning and purpose remain a mystery.
My friend Pornchai Max and his grueling assimilation to his native Thailand after …
