Bishop Richard Williamson (+ January 2025) allegedly confirmed to Sean Johnson that he had conditionally consecrated a Archbishop Carlo Viganò, 85, a bishop in 2023. Johnson published a 2023 email from Williamson on Seraphim54.substack.com on June 19. Johnson is a former seminarian of the Priestly Fraternity of Saint Pius X (FSSPX) and father of nine children who now attends Mass at the US-based Congregation of Saint Pius V (CSPV), a splinter group from the FSSPX. Johnson's publication is consistent with information previously received by Gloria.tv from independent ecclesiastical sources. Viganò was consecrated a bishop by Pope John Paul II in 1992. Since 2023, a persistent rumour about the conditional [second] consecration of Viganò has circulated. Johnson’s article claims that he emailed Viganò twice in November and December 2023 asking about those rumours but didn’t receive a reply. Then, Johnson contacted Williamson. The central statement attributed to Bishop Williamson regarding …Ētahi atu
God bless Bishop Williamson. Perhaps Vigano was "Conditionally Confirmed" by Williamson but that doesn't take away from the fact that Vigano is playing all sides, especially "holy Russia's." I do not doubt the validity of Williamson's act but whether Vigano was in a state to be able to receive it.

Churches in communion with Rome Who are the Christians of Iraq? A long history … After periods of Mongol, Turkoman, and Safavid rule, Mesopotamia fell under the Ottomans, whose empire lasted until the First World War in the early 20th century. It was during the Ottoman period that the East and West Syriac Churches – the Chaldean Catholic Church and the Syriac (or Syrian) Catholic Church, respectively – were formed. The Syriac Catholic Church was created when a Jacobite patriarch united with Rome in the 18th century. The Bishops who did not enter into full communion with Rome formed the Syriac Orthodox Church. Today’s Chaldean Catholic Church dates from 1830, when the historical patriarchate of the Church of the East was united with an earlier Chaldean branch created in the 17th century. An even-earlier Chaldean union from the 16th century subsequently separated from Rome and developed into what are today the Assyrian Church of the East and the Ancient Church of the East. St. Louis IX, King. If God sends you suffering, receive it with humility, think that you have deserved it, and that He sends it for your salvation. If everything succeeds for you, do not then give yourself over to pride or to other misdeeds; for you would be abusing God’s benefits in order to offend Him. — St. Louis IX, King Saint Louis IX ruled France from 1226-1270 and is one of the most revered Catholic monarchs — a model of Christian kingship, justice, and piety. He went on two Crusades, promoted justice and charity in his realm, and was canonized in 1297. Saint Louis IX is shown crowned and robed in blue with fleur-de-lis (the symbol of French royalty) holding the Crown of Thorns on a red cushion, with rays of light emanating from it. St. Louis IX acquired the relic of the Crown of Thorns from Constantinople and built the Sainte-Chapelle in Paris to house it. (Late 19th century Dutch holy card)

The homosexual group Outreach, founded and led by the homosexual activist James Martin SJ, organises its annual conference on June 19-21 at the Jesuit-run Georgetown University. From 2021 to 2024, Francis sent an endorsement message. In 2026, two US Cardinals support the homosexual conference. Outreach published endorsement letters by Cardinal Robert McElroy of Washington and Cardinal Blase Cupich of Chicago (below). Cardinal McElroy wrote on June 19 that he is “delighted” to welcome the homosexual group in Washington, adding: “For I know that the Holy Spirit will be profoundly present in our meetings and discussions at this key time in the history of our Church and our nation.” He wrote that the conference is taking place “at a moment when the pastoral foundations laid by Pope Francis for authentic ministry to and with the LGBT community are being deepened and refined by Pope Leo.” Cardinal McElroy further stressed that the conference comes “directly after the release of Study …Ētahi atu

[Saint Catherine of Siena /Caterina di Benincasa/; XIV-XV Century AD; born: Siena, Republic of Siena/died: Rome, Papal States; aged 33; Spiritual Writer; Mystic; Virgin; Doctor of the Church] How this devoted soul looking in the Divine mirror saw the creatures going in diverse ways. Then that soul, tormented with intense desire, gazing into the sweet Divine mirror, saw creatures setting out to attain their end in diverse ways and with diverse considerations. She saw that many began to mount, feeling themselves pricked by servile fear, that is, fearing their own personal pain, and she saw others, practising this first state, arriving at the second state, but few she saw who arrived at the greatest perfection. How servile fear is not sufficient, without the love of virtue, to give eternal life ; and how the law of fear and that of love are united. Then the goodness of God, wishing to satisfy the desire of that soul, said, " Dost thou see those ? They have arisen with servile fear from the …Ētahi atu
"The new law is the law of love, given by the Word of My only-begotten Son, and is founded in love alone. The new law does not break the old law, but rather fulfils it, as said My Truth, 'I come not to destroy the law, but to fulfil it.’ And He united the law of fear with that of love. Through love was taken away the imperfection of the fear of the penalty, and the perfection of holy fear remained, that is, the fear of offending, not on account of one's own damnation, but of offending Me, who am Supreme Good."

Thu Jun 18, 2026 - 4:56 pm EDTThu Jun 18, 2026 - 9:31 pm EDT (LifeSiteNews) — Over the past decade, many in the international press have openly wondered how Canada’s euthanasia regime went off the rails so swiftly and so grotesquely that other nations have decided against legalizing assisted suicide for fear of turning into Canada. There are, of course, many answers to that question, but one cannot be emphasized enough: Canada had essentially no open debate on assisted suicide in the press. After Canada’s Supreme Court magically discovered a “right to die” (in the right to life), the press celebrated. As legislation was debated, anti-euthanasia voices were conspicuously absent and ignored (with the lonely exception of Andrew Coyne, then at the National Post). In fact, when I turned on the CBC in my car one evening in a fit of apparent masochism in 2016 and heard them announce a debate on assisted suicide, I wondered who would be representing the pro-life side. The debate turned out …
The text argues that saints are often portrayed today as gentle and effortless figures, which misrepresents true holiness. Using two images of Saint Anthony of Padua, it contrasts an early depiction showing him as strong and determined with a modern sentimental portrayal that ignores the hardships of his life. Saint Anthony dedicated himself to prayer, study, preaching, and defending the faith, enduring suffering and constant struggle. The author emphasizes that sanctity requires courage, sacrifice, and perseverance. True holiness is not achieved without effort, and saints should be depicted as spiritual warriors whose struggles are part of their glory.
There is a tendency nowadays to depict saints as people who bypass the realities of life and somehow attain sanctity with little effort. Here we have two pictures of Saint Anthony of Padua. The first is a fresco in the basilica dedicated to the saint in Padua, Italy, and it is the oldest known depiction of the great thirteenth century apostle and miracle worker. In this picture, we see a powerfully built Franciscan, his expression young though mature, serious and determined. The second is a holy card bought in the souvenir shop of the same basilica. This depiction is obviously not inspired by the fresco. Here we see a delicate, rosy cheeked young man, his face devoid of the natural masculinity necessarily brought on by the preacher’s arduous life. His is sentimental, of soft countenance, devoid of the personality and strength of character necessary for climbing the mountain of perfection. Anthony was born Ferdinand of Bouillon of a Portuguese noble family. Early in life he engaged in …Ētahi atu
