As a political, economic, technological, and military superpower, the United States bears a distinctive responsibility to contain dangerous regimes and dictatorships that pose a grave threat to the world. This position was articulated by Cardinal Gerhard Müller on Kath.net on 14 April. He continues: “In light of present circumstances, the brutal crimes committed against one’s own people and against other nations must be confronted - not only through economic sanctions, but, where necessary, by military means.” Cardinal Müller even draws a parallel with the Nazis: “The policy of appeasement toward Adolf Hitler proved catastrophic and exacted a devastating toll in World War II.” Turning to Iran, Müller states: “The Iranian regime must be unequivocally denounced worldwide as a perversion of religion - religion which is ordered toward the worship of God and must never, in any form, be exploited to justify killing of innocent people.” He envisions a just peace as one in which “the …More
Acts of the Apostles 5,17-26. The high priest rose up and all his companions, that is, the party of the Sadducees, and, filled with jealousy, laid hands upon the apostles and put them in the public jail. But during the night, the angel of the Lord opened the doors of the prison, led them out, and said, "Go and take your place in the temple area, and tell the people everything about this life." When they heard this, they went to the temple early in the morning and taught. When the high priest and his companions arrived, they convened the Sanhedrin, the full senate of the Israelites, and sent to the jail to have them brought in. But the court officers who went did not find them in the prison, so they came back and reported, "We found the jail securely locked and the guards stationed outside the doors, but when we opened them, we found no one inside." When they heard this report, the captain of the temple guard and the chief priests were at a loss about them, as to what this would come to. …More
Apostelgeschichte 5,17-26.
Pro-homosexual author ChrisDamian.Substack.com (April 14) accuses the “conservative” Bishop Robert Barron of having followed provocative male accounts on his private Facebook account. In December 2025, Chris Damian published that Bishop Barron’s personal account was following several such pages, including one for 'Brazilian male feet'. This prompted a response from Bishop Barron's organisation, Word on Fire. They claimed that the account had recently been hacked and was being used for 'digital fraud'. However, despite Facebook providing a history of account logins, including suspicious access, Word on Fire did not provide any evidence to support this claim. Yesterday, shortly after Bishop Barron demanded an apology from Donald Trump for attacking Pope Leo XIV, Damian published more information. He posted screenshots showing that Bishop Barron had followed similar provocative accounts as far back as January 2024, casting doubt on the claims of Word on Fire. These accounts included '…More

Holy Gospel of Jesus Christ according to Saint John 3,16-21. God so loved the world that he gave his only-begotten Son, so that everyone who believes in him might not perish but might have eternal life. For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but that the world might be saved through him. Whoever believes in him will not be condemned, but whoever does not believe has already been condemned, because he has not believed in the name of the only Son of God. And this is the verdict, that the light came into the world, but people preferred darkness to light, because their works were evil. For everyone who does wicked things hates the light and does not come toward the light, so that his works might not be exposed. But whoever lives the truth comes to the light, so that his works may be clearly seen as done in God.
11K views · 849 reactions | One of the wonders of late medieval England? There is truly nothing else quite like the Wenhaston Doom. There are doom paintings else where in England, however, none survive in such a well preserved state. For instance, there is a great doom at St Thomas’s church in Salisbury, however, that has been extensively restored. Additionally, there are many dooms that survive in terrible condition, such as the one at Stanningfield church, also in Suffolk. One of the reasons why the Wenhaston Doom is so appealing is because of this story of its chance survival. The fortune of this story make the feeling of beholding this stunning piece of late medieval art even more overpowering. If anyone is wondering, the gaps in these paintings are the shadow of where the Rood figures would have once stood before the painting. The rood figures included Jesus on the Cross, flanked by John and Mary. Unfortunately, every single doom painting in England was destroyed at the Reformation …More
Pope Derangement Syndrome nytimes.com/…/04/14/opinion/pope-president-war-im… By James V. Grimaldi Mr. Grimaldi is a former executive editor of The National Catholic Reporter. Last year, Pope Leo XIV questioned whether the “inhuman treatment of immigrants” is consistent with being pro-life. This year, on Easter, he said, “Let those who have the power to unleash wars choose peace!” On Friday, he posted a message that anyone who is a disciple of Jesus Christ “is never on the side of those who once wielded the sword and today drop bombs.” By Sunday, President Trump apparently had heard enough. He unleashed a lengthy post accusing the pope of being “WEAK on Crime, and terrible for Foreign Policy.” Mr. Trump also posted a picture of himself as a Christ-like figure, though that was taken down after it generated a backlash. (An image of Mr. Trump in papal garb that the White House shared just days before Pope Leo’s election is still up.) Mr. Trump said Leo was elected only “because …More
In Leo, Trump Faces a Different Kind of Papal Opponent Unlike his predecessor, Pope Leo XIV enjoys growing support from a broad swath of conservative Catholics. nytimes.com/2026/04/14/us/politics/trump-pope-leo… Leer en español阅读简体中文版閱讀繁體中文版 Donald Trump ascended to office 10 years ago while publicly jousting with Pope Francis, who was routinely making headlines for the progressive Catholicism he elevated, pushing the Roman Catholic Church to focus on climate change and the rights of immigrants. The pope suggested that Mr. Trump was “not Christian”; Mr. Trump fired back that Francis was “disgraceful.” Mr. Trump capitalized on growing discontent among conservative Christians and won the White House. The chasm only further widened between the Vatican and conservative American Catholics, who often saw in Mr. Trump a champion. Pope Leo XIV, who was elected less than a year ago, is not Francis. For Mr. Trump, who is now in his second term, he presents a new foil at …More
(Personal note: The author of this article came right down the middle when discussing both sides.....Wanted to get that out.....) His Holiness Pope Leo XIV Is Not a Politician Everyone is already seeing the tension building between U.S. President Donald Trump and Pope Leo XIV, especially with everything going on right now involving the U.S. and Iran. After the Pope made public appeals for restraint, peace, and basically warning about the dangers of escalating violence, Trump came back pretty strongly, calling him “weak on crime” and “terrible for foreign policy,” and basically saying the Pope doesn’t really understand how global security works. Now I’ve said this before and I think it still applies here. The Pope is not a politician, and neither are bishops, priests, or any of the clergy. Their job is just different. A lot of people today kind of blur that line and start treating the Church like it’s just another political player in Washington or anywhere else. But that’s not …More
Holiness is not attributable to worshipers of demons. Is this mass amnesia just because people became disillusioned with Trump and now they need a new idol, so they pretend he is "holy" all of a sudden?

Mary Live with Dr. Mark Miravalle: Man in White or the White House: A Choice for American Catholics View and pass on this critically important commentary by Dr. Mark MIravalle over the present conflict between Leo XIV and US President Donald Trump on the morality of the US - Israeli war in Iran.
1. Aquinas (and St. Agustine also) said that early gestation unborn babies are vegetable and animals before becoming human. Pro-abortion Catholic President Biden and Catholic Speaker Pelosi both quoted this in their defense of early legal abortion. 2.Aquinas said that “conscience” must always be followed. This is absolutely contrary to Catholic teaching, but some people still cite this as justification for abortion. 3. Aquinas foolishly said that lying is never permissible. Imagine the classic situation that you are hiding Jews in your attic during WW2 and the Nazis ask you if you are hiding Jews. According to Aquinas you must tell the Nazis “Yes they are in the attic” which results in the murder of the Jews. Aquinas is wrong...Biblically wrong.
1. Was there clarity regarding the infusion of the soul at that time settled by the Church ? You can be sure St Thomas would have changed his opinion to be in conformity. He is obviously not infallible. 2. Conscience is "with knowledge". Plainly without knowledge would mean something different. As Catholic Doctrine is clear i.e the science exists and is clear that abortion is a grave moral evil , those who support it follow contrascience. 3. Is a bit of a straw man and obviously the action of providing information to aid evil would not be supported by Aquinas. You could truthfully hold the position that Christ determines the sons of Abraham as those who like Abraham, rejoiced at His coming. Being God, He gets to define who they are surely. What labels men choose to erroneously co-opt is their own affair. You are quite free to ignore the misdesignation without scruple. So you can with good conscience say quite truthfully there are no Jews here, thereby protecting your neighbour and avoid …More
